Clinton County Canine Club PO Box 101 Plattsburgh, NY 12901 |
The Clinton County Canine Club is available for outreach events to county schools, libraries, boys &
girls clubs, facilities and community groups.
We provide age appropriate demonstrations on dog breeds, dog bite prevention, dog care and dog
related activities. The volunteers in our Outreach program handle well trained dogs who are CCC club members. Our dogs have achieved their Canine Good Citizen certification, an AKC program. Many of our dogs also have Therapy Dog certification. These dogs must display a temperament that shows confidence, good manners and sociability with other dogs and people.
If you are interested in having us come to your facility for a demonstration, please contact:

FYI:
About 77.5 million dogs are owned in the United States. 30% of US households own at least one dog. (humane Society of the US)
Each year, 4.5 million Americans are bitten by dogs. (CDC)
Teaching children to behave safely around dogs will not only prevent injuries, but also helps to strengthen the bond between people and animals.
One of the most powerful tools we have for preventing cruelty to animals is education. It is important to plant the seeds of kindness in children early and to nurture their development as the children grow. (ASPCA)
